Job Summary The Research Integrity and Compliance Office seeks a highly responsible and skilled Administrative Assistant to provide support to the program. The position requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing high-priority tasks. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Research Security, Directors and Associate Directors within the Research Integrity and Compliance Office. Provide scheduling support to Integrity and Compliance programs and team leads. Support various research Integrity and Compliance meetings and functions Assist employees/programs and disseminate general information Assist with staff onboarding and offboarding Create and run queries/reports from the University of Michigan Data Warehouse using Business Objects Assist with budget preparation as needed Create Emburse travel and expense reports Procurement and expense functions (e.g., supplies) Attend business, ITS, administrative, and other meetings Assist in revisions of policies, templates, procedures, and websites. Maintain and organize departmental records Assist with special projects Engage with partners in other institutional compliance and research-related units. Required Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, including working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency with Google collaboration tools (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and other shared resources) and Adobe Creative Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and grammar. Outstanding attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability and desire to work as part of a team along with the proven ability to self-start, and show initiative. Ability to initiate activities and carry them through to completion as well as the flexibility to change focus and priorities quickly. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Ability to navigate complex web-based systems and databases Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information with a demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and diplomacy. Desired Qualifications* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4-6 years of administrative experience. Working knowledge of University of Michigan systems (HR, Emburse, eResearch, eRPM and M-Inform systems). Familiarity with and ability to communicate university procedures and programs.
