Job Title: Advanced Practice Nurse Psychiatric/Mental Health
Location: Orient, OH
Schedule: 20 hours/week, weekdays only (no nights, weekends, or holidays). Core hours typically 7:00 AM 5:00 PM. Some flexibility may be offered.
Duration: Approximately 3 months (may be extended based on need and mutual fit)
Job Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) Psychiatric/Mental Health will:
• Provide direct psychiatric/mental health care in-person or via telehealth as needed.
• Conduct mental health and psychopharmacological assessments, formulate diagnoses, and provide psychotropic medication management.
• Perform mental health evaluations to determine appropriate treatment and medication.
• Prescribe medications and order, interpret, and analyze laboratory tests.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure integrated care.
• Document all clinical encounters and medication management accurately in accordance with policies.
• Participate in treatment planning and treatment team meetings for assigned patients.
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to registered nurses and other mental health staff on medication management and clinical issues.
• Receive regular clinical supervision from a collaborating physician.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and maintain clinical competency.
Required Qualifications
• Master s degree in Nursing or related field
• Valid state APRN license
• Board certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (ANCC or equivalent)
• DEA registration (if prescribing controlled substances)
• Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to pass TB and drug screenings as required
