Locum CRNA - Fredericksburg, Virginia (Float Pool)
Full-Time 12-Hour Shifts Level II Trauma Multi-Site Coverage 6-Month Contract Preferred

Opportunity Snapshot:

A regional health system in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is seeking a locum CRNA to provide full-time night coverage within its float pool team. This role offers a broad case mix, exposure to a Level II Trauma environment, and the opportunity to work across multiple hospital and ambulatory sites. The position includes emergency privileging for holiday coverage and offers flexible, consistent scheduling.

Key Details:

Start Date: February 9, 2026
Contract Length: 6-month minimum preferred

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

  • Must be able to work full-time (36 hours/week)

  • Blocks not guaranteed

  • Overtime paid after scheduled shift (not after 36 hours)

  • Schedule released 8 weeks in advance

Facilities Covered:

  • Floating between multiple hospitals and ambulatory centers

  • Includes main OR, 4-OR satellite hospital, and 6-OR ASC (occasional float)

Case Mix:

  • All cases except transplants

  • Includes: Hearts, Thoracic, OB, Ortho, GI, ENT, Vascular, Healthy Peds (Dental/ENT)

  • OB and Thoracic experience required

  • Pediatric experience preferred

  • CRNAs perform own spinals and epidurals (no blocks)

Facility Details:

  • Trauma Level: II

  • Heavy OB, Thoracic, EP, and Vascular caseload

Privileges:

  • Emergency privileges available for holiday coverage

  • Must maintain a clean background for emergency privileging

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
EMR: Epic

Requirements:

  • NBCRNA Certification - Required

  • Active Virginia License (or in process at time of submission)

  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications - Required

  • Level II Trauma experience - Required

  • Proficiency in spinal and epidural placement/management - Required
