About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead its risk management strategy and ensure the resilience of the business. The CRO will be responsible for the development and enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework, integrating various risk dimensions, and aligning risk management with the company's objectives. This role involves overseeing lending risk, asset management, and investment risk, as well as operational and regulatory risk. The CRO will also serve as a strategic advisor, championing a risk-aware culture, and will be a key member of the executive and leadership teams, with direct reporting to the President and CEO.
Candidates for the CRO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, with an MBA or equivalent preferred. A minimum of 20 years' experience in credit, capital markets, enterprise risk management, compliance, and social impact analysis is required, with at least 5 years in a senior credit leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing successful risk strategies, managing diverse loan portfolios, and driving growth in commercial and real estate lending. Strong leadership, communication, and management skills are essential, as is the ability to ensure adherence to industry risk management practices and regulatory requirements. The CRO will also be responsible for team leadership and development, promoting a culture of high performance, and ensuring the risk team is equipped with the necessary training and professional development opportunities.
