If you can do a cartwheel and are looking for an afternoon job where you can make a positive difference in children’s lives, this may be the perfect fit.
As a Preschool & Recreational Gymnastics Coach, you will create a fun, engaging, and safe environment where children learn gymnastics, build confidence, and love coming to class. You will lead classes using Jump!’s curriculum and themes while supporting each child’s growth in a positive, imaginative way.
We provide full paid training, so you feel confident and supported in your role.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Coach preschool and recreational gymnastics classes using Jump!’s curriculum and themes, focusing on skill development, confidence, and fun
Promote Jump!’s culture of fun and learning while contributing to a positive, team-oriented staff environment
Participate in special programs and events, including Advancement Shows, Parents’ Night Out, Camp Jump! (AISD school closure days), and themed events
Attend mandatory monthly staff meetings, trainings, and team-building sessions
Support decor days, events, and parties as scheduled
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience in gymnastics, dance, cheer, yoga, or a related sport preferred
Childcare experience (babysitting, siblings, camps, teaching, etc.)
Positive, dependable, and enthusiastic
Comfortable using creativity, themes, storytelling, and imaginative play
Dedicated to coaching assigned classes and maintaining schedule consistency
SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT
Commitment to a consistent afternoon, evening, and Saturday schedule for a minimum of 1.5 years
Must be able to work at least two weekday shifts from 3:00pm–8:00pm
Must be available Saturdays from 8:30am–3:00pm
REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to see and hear clearly up to 20 yards away
Ability to provide sustained attention to students during class time
Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb onto a spotting block
Ability to spot gymnasts, including lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to move equipment, including pushing or pulling at least 50 pounds
Ability to respond quickly to emergencies, including evacuating children or performing CPR/first aid
