Join the team as a 9‑12th Grade Social Studies Teacher at ACCEL Schools located at Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School – Upper Campus in Cleveland, OH.
About the Opportunity As an educator, you will bring curriculum to life, create a positive learning environment, and prioritize student learning and social‑emotional development.
Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver lesson plans and modify them as needed.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress.
Utilize research‑based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
Manage student behavior in the classroom.
Create a positive classroom environment for learners.
Utilize school‑approved curricula that reflect diverse backgrounds.
Implement school‑wide culture expectations and norms.
Communicate and meet with families regarding academic and social‑emotional growth.
Incorporate technology skills into daily practice.
Participate in the planning and implementation of non‑instructional activities as needed.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Active Ohio teaching license in Social Studies.
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
High comfort working in a growth‑focused coaching environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to manage confidential information.
Ability to supervise students of various ages.
Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
Experience working within an urban environment.
Compensation Salary range: $37,000 – $51,600.
