We are looking for an E&I Technician for our Rockland site. The E&I Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives by applying technical expertise across a range of equipment and control systems.
Responsibilities
Support your team in making deliberate improvements in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) as well as housekeeping performance.
Ensure 100% compliance of assigned EHS requirements, process safety, food safety, and quality standards, as well as executing required preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices.
Safe completion of life critical activities in production areas including development and execution of lock, tag, try procedures (LTT).
Identify and implement improvements in systems, processes, and personal development as assigned by department and/or shift Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Ensure all training requirements are met within the specified time frames and train other personnel as required by Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.
Ensure preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices are executed as required by department.
Perform maintenance and repair of site's electrical and instrumentation systems.
Perform work order tasks and support work order flow through MMIS.
Perform troubleshooting of site's electrical and instrumentation systems.
Support scoping and planning of work orders.
Follow parts procurement procedures.
Support updating and documentation of equipment BOMs and PMs.
Key Performance Indicators
Wrench time (hands‑on tool engagement and productivity).
Requirements
High School Diploma or High school equivalent (HSE) including GED and Maine HiSET.
Basic math skills and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years of electrical experience, ideally supported by a two-year trade or technical college degree.
Experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment.
Strong problem‑solving, conflict management, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and act with urgency.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Effective collaboration and communication skills with a team‑oriented mindset.
Professional demeanor and presentation skills.
