Certified Peer Recovery Supporter – Full Time
Join Ohio Department of Behavioral Health as a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter. This hourly position supports individuals in recovery and fosters community resources.
What You’ll Do
Design and facilitate recovery-based services and supports to assist individuals in achieving personal recovery goals
Offer assistance with daily living, emotional and social support, and connections to clinical care and community resources
Utilize personal recovery experience, when appropriate, to encourage and inspire hope
Lead and coordinate recovery-related groups, teaching coping skills, relaxation techniques, and wellness strategies
Mentor clients/residents through the recovery process by promoting empowerment, goal-setting, and self-advocacy
Educate clients/residents on available peer services, rights processes, advance directives, and supplemental support programs
Assist with completing forms and applications for resources such as residential state supplement programs
Qualifications
Current Peer Recovery Supporter certification in accordance with OAC 5122.29.15.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health or related recovery support role is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, provide empathy and support, and maintain confidentiality.
Official transcripts for all post‑secondary education and coursework must be submitted before a formal employment offer. Transcripts printed from institution website will not be accepted.
Work Location Summit Behavioral Healthcare, 1101 Summit Road, Cincinnati, OH 45237
Compensation $21.93 per hour, hourly position in OCSEA with a pay range starting at Step 1 of the schedule listed above.
Hours and Schedule Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, weekend as needed.
Employment Type Full‑time, Union: OCSEA
