Midtown is looking for a
School Break Camp Counselor
to join our world‑class team. Shifts include Jan. 19 (MLK Day), Feb. 16‑20 (Winter Break), Mar. 30‑Apr. 3 (Spring Break) and Summer Camp (optional). Pay is $16.50/Hour.
The Position As an integral part of the member services team, our Camp Counselors inspire young members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:
Leading children through organized events, activities, and sports
Acting as a positive role model
Communicating with parents before and after sessions
Operating under pressure while ensuring participant safety at all times
Coordinating and developing exciting youth programs
Qualifications
Previous experience as a teacher, camp counselor, or day‑care worker
Area of youth programming expertise (athletic, creative, or academic)
Outstanding verbal communication skills with children and adults
High energy levels and ability to keep children moving in a variety of activities
Patience and outgoing, friendly demeanor
Current certification in lifeguarding and/or water safety instruction
Highly organized, energetic, and able to multitask
