Housekeeper – Savant Senior Living – Riverside, CA
Position Summary: As a Housekeeper at our Assisted Living Facility, you will create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents. You will maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces. The role reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing bed linens.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common areas such as lounges, dining areas, hallways, and restrooms.
Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as emptying trash bins, cleaning windows, and polishing surfaces.
Follow established protocols and safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures to maintain a hygienic environment.
Assist in monitoring and replenishing housekeeping supplies, including toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of residents’ personal belongings and information.
Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
May need to move furniture to ensure cleanliness of designated areas.
Support with additional duties as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The incumbent in this position does not have any direct supervision.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in a professional setting.
Understanding of infection control practices and safety protocols.
Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact with residents and staff in a professional manner.
Dependability and punctuality in adhering to assigned work schedules.
Respect for resident privacy and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Education / Experience / Credentials
At least 18 years of age.
Required Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance.
Special licenses, certifications, and certificates (First Aid/ CPR Certified).
Special skills needed to meet client needs (California Code of Regulations Sections: 85065(f)/87411(g)).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work, preferably in health care or senior living setting.
