We are looking for a
Part‑time Bartender
to serve beverages at the Hippodrome. This position will remain open until April 10, 2026.
Position Summary The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever‑changing fast‑paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. This role will pay an hourly rate of $8.75 and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent guest service, interaction with co‑workers and uniform standards.
Follow the bar pre‑shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and regulations.
Know or learn beer, wine varieties and spirits; suggestively upsell products to guests.
Pour drinks responsibly per company standards for serving size.
Check guest’s ID in accordance with state and federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement.
Communicate a cut‑off to a guest as required.
Listen to and respond to customer requests or concerns.
De‑escalate intoxicated guest situations; contact management or security if needed.
Contact a management member if unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision‑making.
Request additional product or restock product as required.
Handle cash accurately; responsible for the issued bank at the bar.
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation; ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained.
Other duties as assigned such as set‑up and breakdown of bar equipment or assistance with cooler organization.
Qualifications
Six months or more experience bartending.
Accurate cash handling skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours.
Bartending school preferred.
