CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME)

Location: Mission Hospital – 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801. Online applications only.
Schedule: Full time; days may vary, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm with rotating weekends and holidays. More details during the interview.
Requirements: Six months to one year of cashier experience in the food‑service industry preferred.
Pay: $17.50 – $18.50 per hour.
Job Summary Operates the Point of Sale system, assists the chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; assist with catering orders.
Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
Cashier according to established procedures, maintaining cash accuracy with receipts and making deposits at the end of each shift.
Inventorize and restock supplies and food products.
Set up serving lines, ensuring temperatures are taken, recorded, and within acceptable ranges; notify cooks if temperatures are not acceptable.
Serve hot and cold items to customers.
Set up items for purchase daily.
Keep refrigerator stocked and products rotated using the first‑in, first‑out rule.
Stock pantries with correct par levels of food items on a daily basis; record replenished amounts on floor stock forms.
Record refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms nightly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
