Responsibilities of a Resource Teacher
Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
Support each child’s social and emotional development
Establish positive and effective family relations
Work with classroom teachers and, in conjunction with the entire faculty, to support children’s learning and development
Qualifications
Shows empathy and compassion for young children
Is dependable, adaptable, and enjoys working together toward a common goal
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to facilitate programs, child safety, and emergency situations. For infant and young toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
