This position is located in the meat department of a DeCA Commissary. The purpose of this position is to perform a full range of meat cutting tasks associated with processing beef, pork, veal and lamb into retail and ready-to-eat cuts for sale to patrons. In addition to regular salary (base + locality), positions in Alaska are eligible for a nonforeign area Cost of Living Allowance (COLA), which is exempt from federal income tax.

Requirements

Be a U.S. citizen or national. Applicants with a Permanent Resident Card are authorized to live and work in the U.S. but are not eligible for employment in positions requiring U.S. citizenship. If selected, proof of citizenship is required.

Males born after 12-31-1959 must be registered with or exempt from Selective Service.
