Job Description JOB DUTIES: Operate all equipment, stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Prepare product, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, complete associated paperwork, and clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
TRAINING: Orientation and training provided on the job.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / SKILLS:
Accurate rapid mental math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to provide correct monetary change.
Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between hand, hand/fingers, and rapid precise movements.
Data entry using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Adherence to in‑store temperature control and product safety standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:
Stand, walk, and operate in a fixed height environment (36‑48” high work surfaces).
Lift up to 60 lb cases and stack to 72” high shelves using a hand truck; carry up to 30 lb ingredients; push pallets in dollies; climb stairs and ladders as required.
Operate a delivery vehicle within a designated delivery area; make several deliveries per shift.
Exposure to varying weather conditions, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and mechanical parts while cleaning and restocking.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities:
Operate delivery vehicle safely and efficiently; deliver company products within the scheduled area.
Navigate multistory buildings, private homes, and other sites, carrying product to customers.
Use customer service skills to handle questions and resolve issues at the point of delivery.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete required documentation.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for company deliveries.
Strong navigational skills (reading maps, using GPS).
Ability to handle adverse terrain, including stair climbing and multi‑floor delivery.
Physical fitness to lift and carry product as described above.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
