Soundz Good Audio & Video is seeking a dependable and motivated AV Technician Helper / Apprentice with 2–3 years of experience in the electrical or low‑voltage industry. This role supports Lead Technicians with residential and light commercial audio, video, networking, and smart home installations. The ideal candidate is familiar with construction sites, understands proper wiring practices, and has a working knowledge of low‑voltage systems. Basic IT or networking knowledge is a strong plus and will help accelerate advancement within the company.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist Lead Technicians with:
Audio, video, and smart home system installations
New construction and remodel low‑voltage pre‑wiring
Pulling and routing wire through attics, walls, and crawl spaces
Support structured wiring, data cabling, and equipment rough‑ins
Read and follow wiring plans, labels, and job site instructions
Safely work in attics, on ladders, and around active construction sites
Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
Assist with trim‑out and final installation phases
Follow company standards, safety protocols, and workmanship expectations
Experience & Qualifications (Required)
2–3 years of experience in:
Electrical work or
Low‑voltage systems (data, audio, security, networking)
Familiarity with:
Construction sites and job site safety
Running, securing, and labeling low‑voltage wiring
Proficient with hand and basic power tools
Physically capable of attic work and ladder use
Ability to follow directions clearly and work as part of a team
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Preferred Skills (Strong Plus)
Basic IT or networking knowledge, such as:
Understanding of IP networks
Routers, switches, and access points
Ethernet standards and terminations
Experience with: Structured cabling

We require applicant have 1‑3 years of technician experience in related field
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly
