Overview
Delinquency Control Counselor: Call center production environment, auto-dialer making outbound calls, will receive inbound calls. Early‑stage collections (1‑30 days late), 80‑120+ calls per day. Being in early‑stage collections does not affect a member’s credit score; the goal is to get someone out of collections before they go to Mid Stage or Late Stage Collections where it does affect their credit score.

Experience
Entry level; some financial/collections experience is preferred
Call center experience helps keep up with the fast‑paced environment
Customer service, retail, hospitality – anything that involves talking through and correlating conversations to collections
Personality and culture fit is everything; hard worker, competitive, able to speak clearly
Performance Metrics Working effectively on each account and collecting on all outstanding accounts. Department sends reports to rank counselors and track collections during the month. Individuals can see exactly how they are producing compared to peers.
Schedule M‑F, Saturday (3 Saturdays a month typically) 10:00 am – 7:00 pm. Rotating off day during the week. Saturday always 8 am – 4:30 pm (based on candidate preference). Hybrid schedule: 1 day per week on site (4 days per month required). Training and onsite work full‑time is not an option due to desk space; minimal exceptions may be made if requested in advance once an offer is made.
Training First 4 weeks hybrid: 7 am – 3:30 pm CST / 8 am – 4:30 pm EST Monday‑Friday. First 3 days on site, then 2 days per week on site during training.
Nesting 4 weeks technical training on site: taught phone etiquette, navigation. Up to 4 weeks after is nesting led by leadership team to develop skills. Re‑assessed each week; may exit after 1 week depending on individual.
Pay & Job Type $18.95 /hr. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Martinsburg, WV.
