Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Prep Composite Assembler
Preparing pressure vessel liners for production through a cleaning and taping process
Paint vessel liners
Sand dome and attach tail pin
Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
Complying with all work and process instructions.
Participating in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement.
Identifying improvement opportunities.
Lifting up to and including 50 pounds.
Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job.
Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
Completing and maintaining their training to meet the required level of certified elements in their position.
Properly managing the traceability of components to ensure accuracy.
Required
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
HS Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology
Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathe’s, curing ovens, thermal and/or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as well as standard hand tools are a plus.
