Job Description This is for either an 8-hour OR 12-hour position.

Purpose To assist the Machine Operator in packing quality product, setting up, adjusting and operating a Converting machine that converts polyethylene plastic film to bags and/or roll stock for customer packaging needs.

Knowledge Requirements

Basic computer skills

Ability to work with and interact effectively and professionally with coworkers in a team environment

Basic math skills

Must be able to identify the source of problems on complex machinery, and take the appropriate corrective action

Must be able to read, understand and stay current with all department work instructions and procedures

Good organizational skills

Education/Experience Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent; experience in converting and/or a manufacturing environment a plus.

Essential Physical Requirements

Occasional sitting

Occasional standing

Frequent walking

Occasional below waist level work

Occasional climbing, balancing, pushing/pulling

Occasionally lifts up to 40 lbs.

Frequent reaching above shoulder, reaching over 15” away from body

Occasional fine motor and forceful motion

Must have good vision and hearing and use of both hands

Must be able to communicate with coworkers and Crew Leaders

Must pass company administered color vision test

Other

Must be able to maintain regular attendance
