We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Construction Foreman to lead onsite operations for complex commercial building projects. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with a strong technical background, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage crews, subcontractors, schedules, and safety with precision. This role ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership & Supervision: Direct and supervise daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors. Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to maintain efficient workflow .Ensure all work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage short‑interval (daily/weekly) work plans. Communicate schedule needs and constraints to project managers and trade partners. Anticipate issues and adjust field operations to keep the project on track.
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets company and client standards .Identify and resolve onsite issues quickly to prevent rework. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
Safety Management: Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times Lead daily safety meetings and ensure proper use of PPE. Respond to incidents, document hazards, and promote a culture of safety on site.
Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients. Relay field conditions and progress updates promptly and accurately. Coordinate deliveries, equipment needs, and onsite logistics.
Administrative & Reporting Duties: Track time, quantities, equipment usage, and daily progress logs. Assist with RFI generation and support project documentation needs .Ensure compliance with all company reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Experience: 5–10+ years' experience in commercial construction, including supervisory roles.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership, mentoring, and crew‑building abilities
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills under pressure
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
Proficient with tablets, project management apps, and digital field tools
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Certifications (preferred) OSHA 30First Aid/CPR Trade‑specific certifications (carpentry, concrete, steel, etc.) Equipment operator certifications as applicable
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods. Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
