Schedule Hours are 4:25 pm – 4:30 am (12‑hour shift). Schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. We require a minimum of four (4) shifts and flexibility to accommodate overtime needs.

Job purpose and overview As a Machine Operator I you will work with raw material to complete a mix formula, mix ingredients to complete the batch, and package the material or palletise for shipping.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Food manufacturing experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports

Effective communication with team members

Basic arithmetic in all units of measure

Common sense application of written, oral, or diagram instructions

Problem‑solving in variable situations

Ability to work well independently or with others

Forklift certification helpful; must be able to become certified

Computer skills helpful

Responsibilities

Ensure all product produced meets specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements

Maintain high performance standards in housekeeping per GMP, AIB, IFS, and HACCP

Operate computer systems required for production processes

Operate auxiliary equipment as needed

Operate safely according to training, batch card instructions, and manual

Use hand‑held barcode scanner for traceability; all products scanned before moving to warehouse

Adhere to SSOPs and GMP: pre‑start checklists, scale checks, forklift checklist, code dates, lot numbers, batch verification counts, etc.

Communicate quality, safety, scheduling, and food safety issues to lead or supervisor

Follow company GMP, SOPs, and safety regulations

Assist in training new team members

Adhere to Food Defense and Security requirements

Physical demands and work environment

Regular standing, walking, using hands and arms, reaching; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; quality measurement with sensory perception

Regularly lift up to 50 lb; frequently lift 50 lb or more

Vision: close vision, distance vision, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus ability

Temperature fluctuations with seasons

Heavy machinery present; hearing protection required in production area

Company supplied/required PPE

Non‑slip shoes

Gloves

Hair net

Beard net (if needed)

Safety goggles / safety ear protection

Additional PPE may be required
