Summary of Position:
The LPI Compression Operator I/II/III is responsible for operating natural compression units, CNG load posts, safely making connections with CNG fill lines, filling CNG trailers, recording and tracking fill volumes, operating a yard dog to move CNG trailers to and from filling posts, spotting trailers, and operating forklifts. Operating within a team environment, the LPI Compression Operator I/II/III prioritizes safety and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of work equipment and trucks. This position involves learning the proper filling procedures and troubleshooting for the compression site and the equipment, and performing basic maintenance on, CNG trailers, compressors, loading post, and hoses.
Qualifications & Requirements:
It is a condition of employment to pass the CNG certification from the Railroad Commission of Texas.
Maintains class A CDL, preferred.
HAZMAT endorsed preferred.
Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s).
Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s).
Natural Gas Measurement (Pressure / Differential Pressure / Temperature).
Natural Gas Processing & Field Gas Handling.
Natural Gas Composition / Gas Quality (Heating Value).
Knowledge of associated equipment needed for JT units (Filters/Heat Exchangers, Separators, JT Valve).
Basic Knowledge of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as it pertains to CNG and Field Gas Operations.
Operator experience, preferred.
At least 2 years oilfield experience.
Understands process flow.

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintains and operates equipment at the compression site.
Checks all fluids and visually inspects all equipment prior to start-up.
Demonstrates the ability to Troubleshoot CNG equipment in a safe and timely manner.
Communicates with Compression Specialist during all aspects of the job.
Meets expectations to run all CNG and compressor equipment.
Remains with the equipment at all expected times.
Performs basic preventative maintenance.
Displays proficiency in boarding skills.
Ensures proper LOTO procedures are followed.
Inspects units to ensure they are ready fill trailer continuously.
Completes all necessary inspection forms for each piece of equipment.
Walks site to ensure that all equipment is properly shutdown and turned off.
Assists in housekeeping before leaving location.

Salary: $20-$30/Hr Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
