– Frozen Foods Manager (Amarillo, TX) – Salary: $68,640.00-$93,254.00
Overview The Frozen Foods Manager is responsible for guest relations and satisfaction by building a reputation for Ultimate Service. He/She leads the efficient, effective, safe, legal and profitable operations of the Frozen Foods Department, coordinating human relations and ensuring timely execution of all company and department policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests as they enter the department.
Hire, train, and manage performance of team members.
Communicate information and updates throughout the department.
Maintain a positive atmosphere, spirit, and morale.
Demonstrate leadership by managing time and delegation.
Develop team members and future leaders using available materials and systems.
Support and execute division concepts and programs.
Accountable for executing and meeting financial goals.
Identify opportunities across the store and within the department.
Ensure quality and consistent product availability, solving guest issues.
Safeguard, control, and monitor department assets, implementing control policies.
Practice safe work habits; maintain high cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Oversee consistent use of department systems and processes.
Lead meetings with leadership team to plan production and promotion goals.
Verify team schedules against business needs.
Coach and discipline team members as needed per policy, with support from Talent Management.
Maintain updated books and manuals.
Oversee inventory processes and reporting.
Enforce Food Safety Procedures.
Approve purchase orders and maintain adequate levels.
Maintain stock levels; keep shelves stocked and merchandise in back stock.
Enforce proper rotation procedures.
Ensure tags are properly placed and in good condition.
Show good conflict management skills.
Perform other duties assigned by upper management.
Key Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in grocery or dairy department.
Work scheduled shifts as needed to meet store guest and team member needs.
Effective communication with all levels of management and team members.
Self-motivation, problem-solving, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Work in a freezer and/or fridge for extended periods.
Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, standing, lifting at 5 feet, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walking.
Basic math and computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Email).
Work at a fast‑paced, but efficient and controlled pace.
Maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certification.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Receive telephone calls at home.
Flexible to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Attend meetings, including out-of-town, requiring overnight stays.
Transferable to another store within the area.
Function effectively as a team member and get along with others.
