Summary of Job Duties
The Registrar works under the supervision of the Vice Chancellor for Student Services and provides strategic direction to student record functions of UACCM.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the UACCM Project One Student Records and Academic Foundations Lead for Workday Student.
Ensure the security, confidentiality, and safety of student records, in compliance with FERPA.
Plan and implement the evaluation and certification of graduation requirements each semester for UACCM students.
Plan and implement a process by which college transcripts of transfer students are accurately evaluated and credit awarded.
Ensure and maintain the accuracy of courses entered into the student information system.
Make updates and changes to academic plans to ensure UACCM personnel and students have electronic access to accurate degree and certificate requirements.
Develop, implement, and evaluate student record policies and procedures of the institution.
Plan and implement the verification of attendance process at the beginning of each semester.
Plan and implement the administrative withdrawal and student withdrawal process of the institution.
Plan and implement the process for faculty and adjunct faculty to report final grades in a timely manner.
Plan and implement the process for identifying the following students each semester: honor, academic good standing, academic probation, and academic suspension.
Work cooperatively with the Office of Academics to maintain the academic integrity of the institution through execution of UACCM policies and procedures.
Work cooperatively with the Office of Institutional Research to ensure the accuracy of institutional, state, and federal reporting.
Work cooperatively with college personnel to plan and execute the UACCM commencement ceremony.
Keep the Vice Chancellor for Student Services informed of issues and operational needs related to the Office of the Registrar.
Make recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Student Services for changes in the operations of the Office of the Registrar.
Recommend the hiring of department staff to the Vice Chancellor for Student Services.
Provide training and supervision to department staff to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the department.
Conduct annual performance reviews for department staff in a timely manner.
Actively serve and participate on campus committees, as assigned.
Maintain current knowledge and best practices in the field of student records by attending local, state, regional, or national conferences and meetings.
Practice fiscal responsibility by recommending annual budget needs and ensuring that department funds are spent aligning with the goals of the institution.
Work cooperatively with the Information and Communications Accessibility Committee to ensure that department content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of users.
Effectively handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in college student personnel, educational administration, business administration, education, or a related field.
2 years of supervisory experience leading employees that value teamwork.
2 years of experience in student records at a college or university.
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of the minimum qualifications upon approval of the Chancellor.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in college student personnel, educational administration, business administration, education, or a related field.
5 years of supervisory experience leading employees that value teamwork.
5 years of experience in student records at a community college.
Demonstrated understanding of and a commitment to the community college mission.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to individuals and large groups.
Proficient in the use of computer software and applications, such as Workday and Office 365 products.
Knowledge of office management principles, methods, and procedures.
Able to perform basic research, analyze information, and prepare reports in a logical and informative manner.
Able to problem‑solve, organize and prioritize work, multi‑task, and be flexible and accepting of change.
Able to work independently and cooperatively with a team to achieve the mission/goal.
Able to work effectively and cooperatively with people of various cultural backgrounds.

Salary Information:
$55,000 - $65,000; commensurate with education and experience.
