We have an opening for an X‑Ray Limited Scope Technician to provide radiographic and other diagnostic imaging, and to assist providers in the examination and treatment of patients. Employees in this role will deliver x‑ray services and support clinical staff with other needs. We are looking for someone with a high level of attention to detail, a courteous demeanor, and strong communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures; escort patients to dressing and x‑ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions, and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.

Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images; position equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to exam specifications, following established requirements and regulations.

Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to protect patients and team members.

Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order and report malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.

Follow all radiology workflows and documentation procedures, ensuring accurate EMR entry for each x‑ray visit.

Maintain x‑ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping per current policy.

Perform clinical intake: obtain patient history, current medications, chief complaint, vital signs, and record information in the electronic medical record.

Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and exam rooms.

Assist physicians with procedures.

Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, electrocardiographs (EKG), audiogram, spirometry, and basic nursing functions.

Perform CLIA‑waived lab tests, label specimens, and process send‑out samples.

Document services rendered, test results, and supplies used in medical charts.

Conduct patient callbacks, arrange referrals and testing, and schedule follow‑up appointments.

Perform quality checks on medical equipment as directed.

Assist registration staff and perform additional clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma.

Completion of a state‑approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and state license.

Ability to read and write medical terminology accurately.

CPR certification.

Availability to work 12‑hour shifts and weekend hours as needed.

Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher when appropriate.

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.

Typing speed of 25 words per minute with 96% accuracy.

Detail‑oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Job‑Related Experience

At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.

At least six months of demonstrated experience in X‑Ray and familiarity with routine medical procedures.

Preferred: knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) and prior experience in medical office, healthcare, or customer service settings.

Compensation Hourly rate may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Current range:

$20.00 - $28.00

per hour - Full‑time.
