TM Receiver Tractor Supply Company invites applications for the TM Receiver position. This role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, managing freight, and delivering Legendary Customer Experience while ensuring a safe work environment.

Overall Job Summary The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy to keep inventory shortages at or below store goals and maximizing store sales by receiving and shipping freight in a timely manner. The role requires interacting with customers, supporting selling initiatives, performing assigned tasks, and promoting a safe, productive environment for Team Members, customers, and vendors in accordance with Tractor Supply Company safety training and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.

Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA:

Greet the Customer.

Uncover Customer's Needs & Wants.

Recommend Product Solutions.

Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.

Perform a combination of the following duties during 95% of the day:

Process inbound and outbound freight.

Maintain accurate inventory control and adhere to loss prevention standards.

Recover merchandise.

Participate in mandatory freight processes.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Maintain, recover, stock, and tag assigned work areas including merchandise displayed outside the store.

Operate cash register/computer following company cash handling procedures.

Ensure customers have a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates from competitors.

Rotate and disposition dated products.

Assemble merchandise.

Operate forklift.

Operate cardboard baler.

Ensure the safety and well‑being of birds; sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks and care for birds as required.

Complete all documentation associated with job duties.

Obtain required licenses or certifications as needed by the business.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Experience: Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required; retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred. Must be 18 years old or older and possess a valid driver's license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Must be able to read, write, and count accurately.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

Basic computer skills/experience.

Basic math skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.

Working Conditions

Work environment is favorable, generally inside with moderate noise.

Work shifts vary but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours.

Indoor floors and outdoor lots are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.). Lighting and temperature are adequate.

Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers and adhere to company safety training and guidelines.

Physical Requirements

Position is non‑sedentary.

Team Members must have the physical and mental stamina and ability to move quickly and safely throughout the store and outdoor areas.

Must be able to:

Operate forklift constantly.

Operate and use equipment necessary to run a store (e.g., dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register). Forklift and baler requirements do not apply if under 18.

Push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment.

Occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.

Move and transfer merchandise up to 50 pounds across the store.

Frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.

Move throughout the store for an entire shift.

Safely access all areas (selling floor, side lot, stock area, register area).

Operate store equipment such as computer and cash register.

Read, write, and count accurately for documentation.

Use strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with Team Members and customers.

Process information/merchandise through the point‑of‑sale system.

Contact birds/poultry.

Complete propane dispensing training and certification if required (does not apply if under 18).

Complete all required training.

Travel as required to support district needs.

Complete all necessary training and certification.
