Job Description We are seeking an experienced
Directional Drill Operator / Locator
to support underground fiber construction projects. This role focuses on the
precise locating and tracking of the drill head during horizontal directional drilling
to ensure safe and efficient installations. You will work closely with the drill operator and crew in a hands‑on, field‑based environment.
Responsibilities
Locate and track drill head during HDD operations
Communicate depth, pitch, and direction in real time
Work with the drilling crew to complete bores efficiently
Operate and maintain locating and drilling equipment
Follow job plans and safety standards
Requirements
Experience in directional drilling (telecom/fiber preferred)
Knowledge of HDD locating equipment
Ability to work outdoors and as part of a crew
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
