Our customer specializes in four major telecommunications categories: LMR (Land Mobile Radio), IBS (in‑building systems), IDAS (Intelligent transportation systems), and Physical Security. The company has a number of in‑building projects that it will work on over the next few years, including the construction and maintenance of in‑building wireless access points. It supports federal, state, local government, and education, transportation, and healthcare projects, having worked with Johns Hopkins, WAMATA, BWI, Ronald Reagan Building, and Baltimore Subway systems. This scope specifically is for the BWI central office stand up. BWI project start‑up is happening now and will continue through the end of the year. Experience with AT&T, carrier site builds, tower, DAS, radio builds, etc. is preferred. This project will go on for at least 2.5 years and plans to cross‑utilize technicians as needed on other AT&T‑based projects.
Position Overview We are looking for one DAS/CO Install Technician with at least two years of experience specific to the wireless space. The technician will work on teams of three to four with one lead technician and two to three technicians. The role requires low‑voltage coax install, rack and stacking, dressing and labeling. Some fiber experience testing, terminating, pulling, and splicing is a plus but not necessary. The majority of DAS systems the client installs are coax and fiber based, working with 1/2" coax and OEMs such as Corning, Commscope, SOLiD, ADRF, Mobile Access, etc. The position is a 40‑hour work week with the opportunity for overtime and will support a major telecommunication expansion project through 2025.
