Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Brazer to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing brazing using a gas torch on copper materials with filler metals, assembling valves and components onto compressors and evaporators, and utilizing generic power and hand tools, including saws. The ideal candidate will read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders, conduct first article inspections, maintain a clean and organized work area, and collaborate with team members across shifts and departments.
Responsibilities
Perform brazing using a gas torch on copper materials with filler metals.
Assemble valves and components onto compressors and evaporators.
Utilize generic power and hand tools, including saws.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders.
Conduct first article inspections and report any defects or issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Collaborate with team members across shifts and departments.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and problem-solving.
Use ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production and inventory.
Be flexible and train across different areas, supporting other shifts as needed.
Essential Skills
Brazing or welding school program.
Experience with power tools and hand tools for assembly.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to lift 45+ lbs and stand for 90% of the day.
Must be able to see the full spectrum of colors - cannot be colorblind.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior brazing experience is a plus.
Blueprint reading ability from school or on the job.
Experience in plumbing or manufacturing is advantageous.
Safety shoes required; all other personal protective equipment provided.

Work Environment Work in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility located in Mesa, Arizona. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional need for flexibility on Fridays and Saturdays. The role requires standing for the majority of the day and lifting up to 45 lbs. Dress code includes steel toes, jeans/work pants, and a T-shirt or polo. Additional training will take place at RSI in Phoenix, with dates available in December.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
