in Winston‑Salem, NC. In this hands‑on role, you will support the development and testing of commercial aircraft seating and interior components. Job Type: Full‑Time Consultant (12‑month assignment)
Location: Winston‑Salem, NC 27105
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $24.87 per hour
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Partner with engineers to build, assemble, and test commercial aircraft seats and interior furnishings
Provide technical support throughout engineering development projects
Confer with engineering teams on test article builds, procedures, and test results
Manufacture and assemble test articles in the Engineering Development Lab (EDL)
Machine small parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
Utilize hand tools and machining equipment to support prototype and test builds
Interpret engineering drawings and documentation accurately
Support testing and quality assurance activities in a regulated environment
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) from a technical school, or equivalent
Minimum 4 years of related technical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency with a variety of hand tools
Solid understanding of basic mechanical and manufacturing concepts
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑based environment
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export licence.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace or automotive
Background in testing and quality assurance environments
Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling software
Demonstrated experience with metal machining and fabrication equipment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced setting

Pay Details: $24.87 per hour
