The Lead Audio/Video/Lighting Event Technician is responsible for the audio-visual and lighting control systems in the Casino. This includes configuring, installing, trouble shooting, repairing and providing end user support as needed. The focus is always on maintaining a positive can-do-attitude with an emphasis on the highest level of guest service for both external and internal guests. The Lead Audio/Video/Lighting Event Technician reports directly to the IT Manager.

Responsibilities Where You'll Make an Impact:

Advances production for shows/events

Confers with acts to determine and achieve desired sound for a show or event

Develops and maintains a system for audio equipment inventory

Regulates volume level and sound quality

Setup, tear down, patching of audio equipment

Identifies and delivers required audio-visual service levels according to company policies and user requirements.

Completes AV work requests, project and initiatives as directed by the Information Technology Manager.

Sets up, configures tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots teleconferencing equipment, multimedia devices, televisions, monitors, projectors, recording equipment, speaker sets, digital cameras/camcorders, and other presentation equipment.

Receives and responds to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding AV software/hardware problems.

Performs on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex AV hardware problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair as needed.

Documents instances of AV equipment failure, repair, installation, and removal.

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of AV equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.

Builds and maintains a spare parts inventory for all AV equipment.

Advises on the purchase of new AV equipment and assists with its installation.

Handles incoming booking requests for AV equipment and setup.

Troubleshoots AV issues using the appropriate testing tools; make repairs as necessary.

Tags or labels AV equipment owned by the organization; periodically audits inventories to mitigate risk of damage or theft.

Produces, dubs, edits, and copies all AV media, as required. Attends all necessary meetings.

Qualifications Must-Haves:

5+ years’ experience in audio, visual and video setup and maintenance.

1-2 years’ experience with a Newtek TriCaster TC1.

Knowledge in audio signal flow.

Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by any applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and or push up to 80 lbs.

Must be able to work standing, for up to 4 hours at a time.

Must be able to work in small, confined areas.

Must be able to bend at the waist.
