The MOT Technician is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient traffic movement in construction zones. This includes setting up and maintaining lane closures, directing traffic, and ensuring compliance with FDOT standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities
Implement traffic control measures to protect the public and team members.
Set up and dismantle lane closures and other traffic control equipment.
Safely load, unload, and transport signs, cones, and barricades as required.
Direct traffic around and through construction sites using flagging and signaling techniques.
Perform routine safety and maintenance checks on equipment and tools.
Keep the worksite clean and organized by properly disposing of debris and materials.
Accurately complete all job‑related paperwork and documentation.
Collaborate effectively with coworkers to maintain a secure and efficient work zone.
Monitor job site conditions and adjust traffic control strategies as needed.
