Material Handler
to join a leading steel manufacturer and supplier in Lexington, KY. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with steel materials and equipment, along with strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Material Handler Benefits: Compensation: $20.00/hr. pay Position Type: Temporary to full-time hire position Schedule: Second shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Location: Lexington, KY Additional details: Weekly pay and benefits available
Material Handler Duties:
Handle, move, and organize steel materials within the warehouse
Ensure material is properly located and color-coded
Pull and prepare materials for orders
Operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, shears, and saws
Perform warehouse duties including loading, unloading, cutting, and customer assistance
Maintain a clean and organized work area free of debris
Material Handler Skill & Education Requirements:
Previous experience in a steel or metal manufacturing environment required
Must have proper PPE (steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hard hat)
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical examination
Proficient with measurement tools (tape measure, micrometers, calipers)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety procedures
Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions
