Overview of job duties (not an exclusive or all-encompassing list)

Facilitates cognitive behavioral programming groups as identified by the needs of the judicial district. Teach class in adherence with approved curriculum.

Enhance group facilitation through observation, coaching, feedback and follow-up. Maintain established classroom decorum both with in-person and virtual settings and enforce the rules.

Utilizes and delivers Core Correctional Practices, skill building exercises, and cognitive behavioral programming as appropriate to encourage desistence from criminal activity/thinking and to support case planning objectives. Supports inclusion and diversity in all dealings with clients, employees and community members.

Provide intake and orientation to clients who participate in groups.

Assist with the development of interventions, primarily cognitive behavioral programming, to serve client needs. Review homework and provide feedback.

Conduct one on one sessions with clients as needed.

Ensure group session integrity and organization to carry out the program mission and meet expectations of the Evidence Based Curriculum.

Maintain and uphold attendance record ICON entry for group. attendance/records/interventions.

Data entry and documentation is essential.

Monitor attendance and participation of participants.

Collect class fees if applicable.

Hours worked 40 hours per week; some late nights, weekends, and travel required as needed to fulfill work duties.

Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree in any field, and experience equal to one year of full-time work in human services, criminal justice, or corrections.

A total of three years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.

Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as a Probation/Parole Officer 1 or Residential Officer Senior.
