Overnight Warehouse Worker - Amtrak - NYC Sunnyside Yard

Base pay range $18.70/hr
Job Description The Warehouse Worker’s main responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and performing inventory and quality control duties. Ensures the warehouse is clean, organized, and maintained in accordance with protocols and safety standards.
Receiving and inspecting products, accurately labeling items, and reporting discrepancies in deliveries and invoices.
Organizing and storing all incoming products in assigned locations, applying FIFO inventory controls for perishable products.
Training and operating a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and/or forklifts.
Picking inventory to assemble orders of product, supplies and equipment for requisitions or established par levels.
Following all Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
Loading, unloading, and transporting products and materials to different areas of the warehouse and/or other client locations.
Conducting routine physical inventory counts based on established location schedules.
Accurately completing administrative duties, including records such as inventory count documents, temperature and spoilage logs, equipment inspections, and any other relevant business records.
Cleaning work areas as assigned.
Implementing all location safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures.
Ensuring the security of client and company assets.
Interacting with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests about business-related activities and attending meetings as required.

Qualifications
Over 18 years of age.
High school education or equivalent.
Preferably 2 years of previous warehouse experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Basic computer skills.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
Ability to lift up to 50 lb frequently and/or carry objects up to 35 lb.
Some client locations require a current valid driver’s license; an MVR will be run as part of pre‑employment screening if required.
Physical Demands Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking & standing; may require uniforms and/or personal protective equipment.
