Key Responsibilities
Performing and coordinating preventive maintenance on all machining, furnace, and facilities equipment.
Performing and coordinating unscheduled repairs for all machining, furnace, and facilities equipment.
Providing support to Operations as needed (e.g., janitorial tasks, shipping, and other operational needs).
Completing general building and grounds maintenance as required.
Key Job Functions
Collaborating closely with Operations to quickly resolve maintenance issues and minimize downtime.
Working with Purchasing to expedite the acquisition of materials and parts.
Coordinating with suppliers to schedule repairs and routine maintenance activities.
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues related to manufacturing and facility systems.
Maintaining a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program.
Managing spare parts inventory and ensuring accurate maintenance documentation.
Demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on various tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience
as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial machine shop environment.
Broad technical knowledge
of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluid, and hydraulic systems with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment and system failures.
Hands‑on experience
with a wide range of equipment, including manual lathes and milling machines; hydraulic surface and rotary grinders; hydraulic universal grinders; multi‑axis CNC machining centers; precision rotary tables; EDM wire and drill machines; coolant filtration and delivery systems; and compressor/pneumatic systems.
Preferred additional experience
includes high‑temperature vacuum furnaces, process gas delivery systems, wastewater/RO/DI water systems, chillers and cooling systems, hazardous waste handling, wastewater licensing, and familiarity with maintenance software, spreadsheets, and databases.
Strong attention to detail
with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced production environment.
Proven troubleshooting skills
with the ability to quickly analyze and resolve issues to support continuous production and minimize customer impact.
Proficient
in the use of hand and power tools, electric meters, and related diagnostic equipment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; related technical training or experience preferred.
