Purpose This position will be responsible for building safety, physical security documentation and related training. This role serves as the primary coordinator for physical security and safety incident reporting.
Accountabilities
Coordinate and maintain processes to ensure compliance with audit, safety and security standards for employees, contractors, and visitors across Athene Facilities.
Develop and update processes to enhance building safety and security compliance, including but not limited to workplace safety and vendor safety.
Assist with maintaining functions and processes for protection of Athene USA Headquarters including property and employees.
Assist in developing, delivering, and maintaining safety and security training programs across the organization.
Coordinate volunteer rosters for emergency action team.
Responsible for training and educating emergency action team volunteers, to include supply inventory and safety drill preparations.
Perform daily physical security and safety site inspections.
Responsible for accurate, timely completion of documentation and assigned projects.
Serve as initial point of contact for problem resolution and safety incidents.
Must be available for projects and incident response after hours and on weekends (24/7/365).
This role will be responsible for the upkeep and distribution of physical security documentation and policies, including contracted services post orders, procedural documents and safety policies.
Coordinate with external partners to conduct various onsite required and optional training courses.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in physical security and workplace safety.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate professionally.
Professional appearance required.
Confident, approachable, and service‑oriented presence.
Willingness and flexibility to periodically assist with responsibilities outside primary job description.
Ability to perform initial PC troubleshooting and coordinate with IT when necessary for updates and repairs needed as related to contracted service workstations.
Proficient in following defined escalation procedures and ensuring timely follow‑up actions.
