Your Job Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Maintenance Technicians to join our Corrugated facility in Albany, GA!

This position is eligible for relocation incentives.

Salary

Starting at $27.87 – $34.56 (based on skill and experience)

You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.

2nd Shift Differential – $1.00 per hour

3rd Shift Differential – $1.25 per hour

Shift

Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Shift Hours

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Starts Sunday night)

What You Will Do

Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.

Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.

Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.

Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Helping to meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program.

Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.

Working in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy and high‑volume environment.

Performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Two (2) years or more of rotary machinery industrial maintenance experience.

Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.

Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry.

Experience programming PLCs.

Experience with a manual lathe and milling machine.

Experience working with 240/480‑volt 3‑Phase motors.

Experience with MIG, TIG, Arc welding.
