2nd Shift Production Operator (Collection, Packaging, Inspection)

Shift & Pay Monday – Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. plus overtime as needed.
Pay: $22 an hour.
Primary Responsibilities and Expectations
Collect and package product in compliance with customer and quality specifications.
Perform setup, changeover and initial line clearance for the assigned production line.
Inspect product for defects and deviations using measuring devices (e.g., dial caliper, gauges, micrometer).
Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions.
Maintain complete and accurate production records.
Qualifications / Physical Demands
High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continuously.
Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and complete time cards and work orders accurately.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and apply basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems, interpret technical instructions, define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions where limited standardization exists.
Physical Demands The employee regularly stands, walks, talks or hears; uses hands to reach and manipulate items; lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds; and may sit, climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl as required.
Work Environment Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, heat, fumes, chemicals, and weather conditions. Noise level is usually moderate.
