Hourly – Full Time Key Responsibilities
Operate clamp truck and forklift equipment to company standards. Receive stock and other raw materials by company procedures. Unload and load trucks as necessary. Operate conveyor line as needed. Assist shipping personnel and keep the warehouse organized. Work safely, reporting all unsafe conditions and near misses immediately to your supervisor. Report any property damage that occurred while you were on the lift, regardless of how insignificant it may seem. Maintain a clean work area, keep docks plugged up, aisles clean and swept, and empty trash as required. Keep all equipment lines full; machines should not wait on product. Able to read and understand the production schedule and inform the supervisor in advance of issues. Work efficiently, handling bales only once and minimizing forklift damage. Perform forklift inspection daily at the beginning of your shift as required by OSHA. Communicate all relevant information to the oncoming shift before leaving. Follow all LOTO procedures for loading and unloading trailers. Process, tag, and store incoming raw materials as required. Inspect all incoming and outgoing product and supplies and document defects. Inventory and organize finished products. Perform all documentation as assigned, e.g., load verification forms. Shred waste materials and properly weigh and identify each load. Operate plant PCs and appropriate systems to complete assigned tasks. Enter maintenance work requests for safety, scheduled, and unscheduled tasks as needed. Rework any bales or pallets of finished goods that have been spilled or are potentially unsafe. Work with other forklift drivers as a team and communicate accordingly. Follow plant procedures on tracking waste bales; place all quarantined product into quarantine area. The candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including understanding safety instructions and operating procedures. Summary
