Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician responsible for performing preventive maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs on material‑handling and other distribution center equipment. This role involves working closely with a Master Maintenance Technician to ensure high‑tech automated equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Maintaining a safe work environment is a key aspect of this role, involving the identification and correction of potential safety issues.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs on distribution center equipment.

Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate preventive maintenance worksheets and maintain machinery as per manufacturer recommendations and good maintenance practices.

Collaborate with the Master Maintenance Technician to execute preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on high‑tech automated equipment.

Document and rectify potential safety issues related to material‑handling equipment or the distribution center facility.

Essential Skills

Associate’s degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology with at least 2 years of relevant maintenance experience, or at least 4 years of maintenance experience in a similar environment.

Knowledge of industrial electricity including single‑phase and three‑phase power, motors, protective devices, and photo sensors.

Minimum 6 months of experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic principles.

Experience uploading and downloading PLCs, System Control Software (SCSs), and scanners.

Experience with electronics such as photo sensors, PLCs, remote input/output modules (I/O), servo drives, and variable frequency drives.

Ability to climb to the 100‑foot level to make repairs, lift parts and tools weighing up to 80 pounds, and perform tasks involving repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED is preferred.

Work Environment This role is based in a distribution center with a focus on maintaining high‑tech automated equipment. The work schedule is the first shift from Friday to Monday, 5 am to 3:30 pm. The environment requires physical activity, including climbing, lifting, and performing repetitive movements.

Job Type & Location This is a contract position based out of Moreno Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $25.00 per hour.
