Maintenance Technician – Weekend Shift (Nights) Are you a detailed individual that wants to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment? This position installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, apparatus and electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment. The role also uses shop machinery such as band saws, lathes, and mills to fabricate, repair, or rebuild parts.

We manufacture and market prestressed concrete strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement, and standard welded wire reinforcement. About You The person we are looking for is dynamic, driven, motivated, and has a firm attention to detail. You are a valuable member of the team and a key player in the success of the business.

Schedule Friday–Sunday 12‑hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:00 am. Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours (all 36 hours must be worked for incentive). Will train on day‑shift rotation and once trained will move to night weekend rotation.

Position Snapshot

Act as the shift lead in the absence of a supervisor.

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.

Listen for unusual sounds from machines to detect malfunction and discuss variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.

Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity.

Have in‑depth knowledge of safety guidelines and safety‑related work practices such as Lockout/Tagout.

Demonstrate proficiency in basic multimeter functions (e.g., fuses, conductivity).

Troubleshoot and repair machinery and components including electric circuits, relays, contactors, motors, starters, AC/DC drives, PLCs, hydraulic systems, pump/valve failures, cooling systems, gearboxes, and pneumatic systems.

Lubricate and maintain all equipment during normal operations and planned/scheduled preventive maintenance work.

Repair auxiliary components.

Change bearing and wear components, replace and adjust belts, pulleys, and drive components.

Understand thread terminology, tap drill sizes, fastener terminology, drill sizes, bit sizes & types.

Understand and demonstrate competencies in lathe and milling machine operations.

Read blueprints, schematics, installation and arrangement drawings, basic components, electrical diagrams and symbols and install wire machinery to manufacturer’s specifications.

Solder electrical and electronic components.

Create and modify work orders within the MAXIMO CMMS system to include recording logs, entering time and follow‑up work to be performed.

Adhere to the company safety policies and related guidelines, including PPE usage.

Perform other mechanical/electrical duties as assigned.

Requirements and Education

Broad technical training (high school plus 1–2 years of apprenticeship/applied trades training). Training requires a basic knowledge in the use of shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, PLC programs, DC drive motors, AC drive motors and various types of precision measuring instruments.

3–5 years of electrical experience preferred.

5–7 years of industrial or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and work‑related experience may be acceptable.
