Production Operator – Georgia‑Pacific Gypsum
Location:
Cumberland City, TN
Shift:
12‑hour rotating shifts, days and nights with weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. Hours: Days – 7 am to 7 pm; Nights – 7 pm to 7 am.
Compensation:
$21 per hour. Full medical and dental benefits, life insurance, 401(k) matching, paid holidays, paid vacation, and paid floating holidays.
Responsibilities:
Ensure machines are set up properly and operate optimally.
Troubleshoot and make machine adjustments as needed.
Contribute to the site’s safety record by ensuring safe work practices.
Perform basic asset care duties and routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals.
Clean the work area throughout assigned shifts to keep an orderly and safe environment.
Perform tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lb), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for at least twelve 12‑hour days in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing required safety equipment.
Be willing to work any shift; rotating 12‑hour shifts in varied industrial conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a production, warehouse, industrial, farming, construction, manufacturing, or military environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating a forklift.
Experience using a computer for record‑keeping and documentation in an industrial environment.
Experience identifying, analyzing, and troubleshooting quality issues.
Experience troubleshooting equipment.
