About the Role The Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator at Spices USA Inc plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and movement of inventory within the warehouse facility. Responsibilities include operating forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaboration with team members and supervisors helps meet daily operational goals and deadlines, supporting timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
Warehouse experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, documents, and record inventory data.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid forklift operator certification or license.
Previous experience in a food or spice distribution environment.
Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and warehouse best practices.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products safely and efficiently.
Load and unload incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against shipping documents.
Organize and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to safety protocols.
Ensure that products are received, stored, processed, and shipped in a timely manner.
Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management systems.
Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders, prepare shipments, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Follow all company policies and OSHA safety regulations to minimize workplace hazards.
Upkeep warehouse clean and organized.
Skills Required skills include forklift operation and inventory management essential for moving goods safely and maintaining accurate stock records. Physical stamina and attention to detail ensure compliance with safety standards. Preferred skills like familiarity with warehouse management software enhance efficiency by streamlining inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
