Material Handlers are responsible for tracking, storing, and staging product and raw materials and transporting them throughout the facility in an efficient and organized manner to meet production needs.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Transport products and materials throughout the facility both manually and using forklifts, overhead lifts/cranes and push carts.
Maintain record of all parts going to/from the racks
Count, weigh and record number of material units handled
Perform cycle counts and assist in physical inventory assessments
Load picked orders onto trailer according to specifications and sequence, and complete appropriate paperwork
Unload, move, stack and stage customer products and materials by hand and with motorized equipment, keeping appropriate records
For This Role, You Will Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbs
Ability to do other duties as assigned
Ability to carry objects; perform dynamic activities including reaching and stretching; and frequent bending and twisting of the torso
Ability to pass forklift certification written exam and driving demonstration
WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil and water. May be exposed to any number of these elements.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Associates Degree in any field
1 to 3 years consistent work experience
Prior forklift certification
