Surveillance Officers monitor the casino floor and other areas to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies. Basic computer software knowledge and a willingness to be trained are required. Previous loss prevention and casino experience are preferred but not required. Responsibilities
Monitor and record activities being conducted in and around the gaming establishment using video cameras, monitors, digital recorders, access control systems, computer dispatch, video printers, switches, and other equipment used for surveillance. Monitor all areas of the property, both indoor and outdoor, for suspicious activity, health and safety issues, evidence of theft, cheating, scams, and procedural violations. Check for blind spots and camera outages or tampering. Log all activities observed by surveillance into the surveillance dispatch log. Understand and operate all surveillance camera switching, reprogramming equipment, and use of all computer equipment. Control surveillance dispatch system for all calls to Control. Determine Control call priorities and dispatch security, police, fire, traffic officers, maintenance, and facilities during emergencies as necessary. Dispatch security officers as needed throughout the facility and monitor officer conduct. Maintain familiarity with all appropriate department procedures. Maintain confidentiality within the established guidelines. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience working with video cameras, access control systems, video printers, and other equipment used in surveillance. Previous casino experience is preferred but not required. Basic computer software and hardware knowledge desired. Previous experience in loss prevention preferred but not required. Physical/Mental Requirements
Frequent sitting, speaking, seeing, hearing, and listening. Frequently follow directions and pay attention to detail. Occasional twisting, kneeling, handling, wrist motion, bending, and working in tight spaces. License Requirements
