Responsibilities
Read and interpret work orders and prints to set up saw accurately
Measure and verify lengths using tape measures, calipers, or other measuring tools
Operate saws and control panels to perform precise cuts according to specifications
Perform regular in-process visual inspections to detect defects such as dents, cracks, humps, flow lines, or breakage
Fold, batch, and prep material for cutting operations
Lead racking team and coordinate responsibilities among team members
Communicate and coordinate with forklift drivers for scrap, spacer, and rack movements
Enter completed production data into EPICS at the end of each sales order run
Support racking material operations when required
Participate in 5S activities and ensure cleanliness of equipment, work area, and hazardous waste accumulation zones
Follow and interpret planning and work order instructions accurately
Maintain punctuality and reliability to support consistent workflow
Perform basic shop math including fractions and decimals
Navigate internal systems to access process documents and complete reporting
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Education
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
Experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment (required)
Metal extrusion experience (required)
Proficient in reading blueprints and work orders
Knowledge of quality requirements and tolerance inspection
Familiar with saw controls and basic machine troubleshooting
Basic computer literacy for data entry and system navigation
Team leadership and communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
The annual base salary range for this position is $21.60 - $22.80. If you are hired, your annual base pay will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
