Primary Responsibility Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts, high‑reach forklifts, stand‑up straddle trucks, walk‑behind units, pallet jacks, and radio‑frequency equipment.
What You’ll Do
Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout the facility.
Effectively stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed.
In compliance with OSHA standards, operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment while meeting production standards.
Perform additional duties such as inventory, cleaning, forklift battery changes, and other tasks as required.
Experience and Education You Need
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
Work in spaces with 55 inches of headroom.
Tolerate controlled indoor temperatures from 32°F to –45°F and outdoor temperatures, including heat, cold, and precipitation.
Tolerate heights up to 30 ft. and access elevated products from inside a safety cage.
Stand for up to 5 hours during shifts; may walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
Lifting: move boxes weighing 10 lbs. to 55 lbs. from ground to 80 in. and from 70 lbs. to 50 in. without assistance; lift and carry items a distance of 6 ft. without mechanical help.
Wear clothing, boots, headgear, and gloves to protect against the cold.
Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, reach, talk, and hear.
Vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance as required by ADA, FMLA, and other regulations.
