EDM Setup Operator
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $27-$32 per hour (based on experience)
Location: Sussex, WI
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced EDM Setup Operator to join our team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands‑on experience with Conventional EDM machining, with a strong focus on tooling and production environments. Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate Conventional EDM machines in a production and tooling environment
Manufacture, dress, and re‑dress electrodes using tool room equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and technical documentation
Plan tooling requirements, setup procedures, machining methods, and operation sequences
Determine and adjust machine parameters to maximize machining efficiency and quality
Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications
Inspect and measure workpieces using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Record inspection and production data as required
Communicate job status, procedures, and issues with supervisors and team members
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating Conventional EDM machines
Strong knowledge of tooling, production processes, and electrode fabrication
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency using precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
