CNC Machine Operator 1st Shift

Responsibilities
Operate CNC lathes, mills, and other designated machinery under direct supervision. Plan machining by studying blueprints, specifications, and geometric tolerances (GD&T). Verify settings by measuring positions on first‑run parts and sample work pieces using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators, and adjust offsets as needed. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, and thread‑chasing operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, determining causes, and resolving operating errors, replacing worn tools, and completing preventive maintenance requirements. Sustain safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations. Support continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs. Document events by completing Production and Quality (Department) logs. Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
Qualifications
Reliable and responsible individual able to work independently and well with others. Must have excellent attendance record. Heavy lifting and standing required.
